ANNA FRIEDMAN, Shelter Director

Upon earning her Masters in Social Work (MSW), Anna briefly worked as a Clinical Therapist before discovering her true passion of animal welfare. She has been working in the field since 2007, initially in the realms of Humane Education and Volunteer Management and more recently as the Director of a progressive rescue organization, One Tail at at Time in Chicago, IL, with a focus on both open adoptions and diversion programming.

Anna and her family moved to Northern Kentucky in December of 2017 and it seemed kismet that Clermont Animal CARE had just been awarded the contract to manage the county shelter and was looking for a Director. Anna often brings her work home with her in the form of foster puppies which her resident dogs, Johnny and Angus, begrudgingly tolerate. In addition to all things animal, Anna loves going on family hikes, road trips, and lunch dates with her one-year old daughter, Frankie.
