In her early 20's, Trisha was given a dog as a gift - he was the one that fueled her fire to rescue. At nine months old, he had a serious accident and although both vets and trainers advised euthanasia, Trisha never gave up on her boy. Her love and commitment to him is what led her to the field of animal rescue. Throughout the years Trisha has worked in several shelters and done a lot of volunteer and foster work with various organizations, but her true passion is animal hospice. Working at the shelter gives her the opportunity to advocate for seniors and special needs animals. Trisha is grateful to be working at a shelter like Clermont that aligns with her own values and continues to fight for those hard cases.
